The 2027 Giro d’Italia Women will begin in Viareggio and conclude on June 6 with the Monte Bianco Stage, organisers announced as they presented the route in Rome. The race is scheduled for May 29 to June 6 and will cover 1,132 kilometres across nine stages.
The route will pass from Tuscany through Liguria and the Po Valley before reaching the Alpine climbs of Lombardy and Valle d’Aosta. Two stages are set to finish uphill: the fourth, from Credaro to Passo della Presolana, and the sixth, from Bergamo to Madesimo-Valle Spluga.
The final stage will take place entirely in Valle d’Aosta and is named the Monte Bianco Stage. RCS Group president Urbano Cairo said the women’s race was important to the organisation and described growing interest in women’s cycling.
