Alex de Minaur will lead Australia at the United Cup, with several current and former top-10 players confirmed for the mixed team event ahead of the Australian Open.

The tournament will be held in Perth and Sydney from 1 to 10 January. The 2026 edition featured 18 countries and ended with Poland defeating Switzerland 2-1 in the final.

According to The West Australian, world No. 8 de Minaur is set to headline the Australian team after recently reaching the Vienna Open final. He is expected to partner either world No. 46 Kimberly Birrell or Talia Gibson, who has reached a career-high ranking of 36.

Canada will feature world No. 13 Felix Auger-Aliassime alongside Victoria Mboko. Mboko, a former world No. 9, has dropped to 21st in the rankings after missing competition with a knee injury since June. The 20-year-old last played at Queen’s Club and indicated that she expects to return at the United Cup.

“It’s an honour to represent Canada again at the United Cup,” Mboko said, describing the event as a unique opportunity to compete for her country alongside her teammates. Auger-Aliassime said he was looking forward to starting the new year in Australia and discovering whether Canada would play in Perth or Sydney.

Greece is also set to have a strong lineup, with former Grand Slam finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas leading the team alongside Maria Sakkari. Sakkari said she was anticipating an incredible atmosphere, while Tsitsipas highlighted the team environment and the support players provide for one another during the competition.

The complete list of countries and players is expected to be announced later this month when the draw is finalised. United Cup tournament director Stephen Farrow said the confirmed names set the tone for the event and expressed his excitement about welcoming more leading players to Perth and Sydney.
