Glamorgan batter Asa Tribe has been prevented from joining the England Lions squad in the West Indies following a recent trip to Kenya. Tribe played three one-day matches for Jersey in Nairobi in late October against Kuwait, Papua New Guinea and Kenya.
He was due to join the Lions for a series of T20 and one-day matches against West Indies A. However, Saint Kitts and Nevis did not admit him because of concerns linked to an Ebola outbreak in Kenya.
An England and Wales Cricket Board spokesperson told BBC Sport Wales that Saint Kitts and Nevis had a 21-day non-entry rule for non-nationals who had been in Kenya, as well as seven other African countries, because of the situation. The spokesperson added that Tribe had returned to the United Kingdom and that the board was in contact with the relevant authorities.
The England Lions won the opening T20 match by eight wickets on Sunday. They bowled West Indies A out for 98, with Naavya Sharma taking four wickets and Scott Currie claiming three. Captain Thomas Rew then scored an unbeaten 50 as the Lions reached 101-2 in 10.1 overs.
