Bologna has congratulated Andrea Kimi Antonelli after the driver from nearby Casalecchio di Reno became Formula 1 world champion. The club highlighted Antonelli’s support for the Rossoblù and invited him to celebrate the achievement together.
The team shared the message on social media through Riccardo Orsolini, Lorenzo De Silvestri, Tommaso Pobega and Roberto Piccoli. In it, the players praised Antonelli’s “incredible” achievement and said his success had made Bologna, the club and Italian fans proud.
Bologna also recalled the video of Antonelli celebrating the team’s Coppa Italia triumph on the night of May 14, 2025. The footage showed the young driver joining the celebrations around the city by sounding his car horn and subsequently went viral.
The club is expected to contact Antonelli’s representatives in the coming days to discuss how they might meet. He could appear at the stadium or greet the team more privately at Casteldebole, depending on his upcoming commitments. An encounter after the end of the motor racing season currently appears the most likely option.
