Cesc Fabregas is looking forward to Como’s Champions League trip to Lens, describing the atmosphere at the French club’s stadium as intense and saying his players were eager to compete in a match of this kind.

Fabregas said he had played at Lens while at Monaco and was impressed by how full the stadium was even during the warm-up. He added that he had begun preparing and motivating his squad the day before, calling the occasion a great experience for the players.

The Como coach also singled out Florian Thauvin, formerly of Udinese, as a key threat. Fabregas described the forward as an outstanding player with a strong scoring record and said Como would need to keep him under close control.
