Fiorentina returned to winning ways in Serie A with a 4-2 victory over Sassuolo in the postponed match from the 10th round. The result ended the visitors’ five-match wait for a league win and extended Sassuolo’s losing streak to four games.
Sassuolo took the lead in the 25th minute through Laurienté. Fiorentina responded before half-time, with Pellegrino restoring parity.
The visitors completed the turnaround early in the second half when Njie put them ahead. Laurienté scored again to bring Sassuolo level, but Mastantuono restored Fiorentina’s advantage with around 10 minutes remaining.
Valdepenas sealed the result during stoppage time after a counterattack. Fiorentina moved to eight points in the standings, level with Sassuolo.
