The 34th round of the Brazilian Championship begins Monday, November 2, with matches spread across five consecutive days because of the Copa do Brasil semifinals. All ten fixtures could affect the table, including the title race, qualification for the 2027 Copa Libertadores and the fight to avoid relegation.
The top five currently qualify for the Libertadores, but that total could rise to nine if Palmeiras and Atlético-MG win the Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, respectively, and also reach the Copa do Brasil final. Flamengo is guaranteed to stay in first place this round; the question is whether its lead over second-placed Palmeiras will grow or shrink.
Five teams are competing for the three remaining Libertadores places. At the other end of the table, Botafogo in 12th and Internacional in 18th are separated by just four points.
Monday, November 2: Red Bull Bragantino, ninth, host Santos, eighth, at 8 p.m. The result could matter to both clubs’ hopes of qualifying for the Libertadores if additional places become available.
Tuesday, November 3: Bottom-placed Chapecoense host 16th-placed Mirassol at 7:30 p.m. Chapecoense are in danger of dropping to the second division in 2027, while Mirassol are trying to move clear of the relegation zone. At 9:30 p.m., Internacional, 18th, face Coritiba, 11th. Internacional need points to keep their rivals within reach, while Coritiba have moved away from immediate danger and could still target a Libertadores place.
Wednesday, November 4: Leaders Flamengo host Grêmio, 15th, at 7:30 p.m. Flamengo will look to protect their advantage, while Grêmio are balancing their league position with the Copa do Brasil: they lead Atlético-MG 2-0 after the first leg of their semifinal. Also at 7:30 p.m., fifth-placed Athletico-PR meet Vasco, 13th. The hosts are chasing a return to the top four and a direct place in the Libertadores group stage; Vasco are also focused on the cup semifinals and remain at risk of falling back into the relegation zone.
At 9:30 p.m., Botafogo, in 12th, play Atlético-MG, seventh. Botafogo are three points above the relegation zone after losing to Remo, while Atlético-MG are seeking to close the gap to the top five. São Paulo, 10th, face Corinthians, 17th, at the same time. São Paulo could benefit if more Libertadores places open up, while Corinthians are aiming to climb out of the relegation zone.
Thursday, November 5: Second-placed Palmeiras host 19th-placed Remo at 7:30 p.m. Palmeiras need a win to stay in the title race, while Remo are fighting to avoid relegation. At 9:30 p.m., third-placed Cruzeiro meet sixth-placed Bahia in a direct contest for a Libertadores place. Cruzeiro will try to maintain their position and their cushion over rivals; Bahia could climb to fourth, depending on results for Fluminense and Athletico-PR.
Friday, November 6: Vitória, 14th, host fourth-placed Fluminense at 8 p.m. Vitória will know whether they are inside the relegation zone when they take the field, while Fluminense will aim to remain in the top four.
