AC Milan striker Francesco Camarda met students at the IC Paolo e Larissa Pini in Milan for a discussion about Sport and a lesson promoting physical activity. The event was part of Scuola Attiva, a project by Sport e Salute that encourages young people to take part in sport and discover its values.
During the conversation, Camarda asked questions and students shared their responses. They then took part in a physical activity session led by Sport e Salute tutors, with exercises designed to let them move, work together and test themselves.
Camarda told the students that football teaches players to rely on teammates and that being the best is not a requirement for belonging to a team. He encouraged them to try sport without fear of making mistakes, adding that it can be an enjoyable and valuable experience even for those who do not plan to become professionals.
The event forms part of a national initiative by Sport e Salute and Adidas to tackle young people’s drop-out from sport. The programme aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity and help create conditions that enable children and teenagers to keep participating over time.
