Esteban Ocon will not race for Haas in the final four Grands Prix of the 2026 Formula 1 season, the team has announced. The decision follows his omission from the Mexican Grand Prix, where he had already been stood down before the second day of the event.
Rafael Camara, 21, will take Ocon’s seat in São Paulo this weekend. Haas said the Brazilian would make his Formula 1 debut in front of his home crowd. The team announced last month that Camara would be one of its race drivers for the 2027 season.
After São Paulo, the remaining races are in Las Vegas on November 22, Qatar on November 19 and Abu Dhabi on December 6.
Ocon, 30, described the disagreement with Haas as a “difference of views” and categorically denied reports of an altercation that turned physical with team principal Ayao Komatsu. Komatsu said the matter was an internal team issue and that decisions of this kind were never taken lightly.
Ryo Hirakawa, who stepped in for Ocon in Mexico at short notice, will not be available in Brazil. The 32-year-old Japanese driver is due to compete in the 6 Hours of Monza, a round of the World Endurance Championship.
