Jesús de Miguel, the Spanish footballer who died after an on-field collision, is to be buried in Toledo. His remains are due to be transferred from Tenerife in the evening, and the Tenerife squad and club officials are expected to attend the funeral the following day.

Tributes to de Miguel are continuing across Spanish football. Las Palmas has announced that it will wear its third kit for Sunday’s home match. The white shirt, featuring a blue band across the chest, resembles the colors often worn by Tenerife, the club de Miguel played for.

Las Palmas said the choice was intended as a tribute rather than a marketing move. “This Sunday, these are our colors,” the club wrote in a post.
