Juventus defeated Napoli 2-0 in Sunday’s Serie A fixture, with both goals arriving in the second half. The result came as the two teams, coached by Allegri and Spalletti, entered the match some distance from the top of the standings.
The sides played openly during the first half, but neither was able to score. Juventus came closest when Cabal hit the post.
Alajbegovic broke the deadlock after the interval with an unstoppable shot from outside the area. Napoli’s task then became more difficult when Marianucci was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
Boga completed Juventus’ win late in the match by adding the second goal.
