La Liga is considering postponing this weekend’s fixtures in both the first and second divisions after the death of Tenerife striker Jesús de Miguel, according to Spanish media reports cited by ANSA.

The reports say league president Javier Tebas has discussed the possibility of postponement. A decision is expected in the coming hours and would be officially communicated to the clubs, although contractual matters still need to be resolved.

De Miguel died following an on-field collision with Andorra goalkeeper Owono. His death has shocked Spain, the reports said.
