Lazio president Claudio Lotito has submitted his candidacy for a seat on the Italian Football Federation’s (FIGC) federal council, filing the required documents at the federation’s headquarters in Via Allegri.

Lotito previously served on the council until February 2025. The election assembly is scheduled for December 14, when the federation’s constituent groups will choose a president between Giovanni Malagò, nominated by Serie A, and Adriano Galliani, backed by the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) and the Italian Football Coaches’ Association (AIAC).
