Roma took a two-goal lead over Manchester United in the fourth round of the Champions League league phase, while Inter moved three goals clear against Feyenoord in the matches described by ANSA.

Matías Soulé opened the scoring for Roma in the 11th minute, finishing after a pass from Mora. Donyell Malen converted a penalty in the 18th minute to make it 2-0. Manchester United reduced the deficit in the 58th minute when Bruno Fernandes scored from the spot. His first attempt had been saved by Vasquez, but the penalty was retaken after Bryan Cristante entered the area before the kick. Matheus Cunha then equalised for United in the 83rd minute.

Inter struck first at Feyenoord in the eighth minute through Yann Bisseck, who curled a shot into the far corner after receiving the ball from Spence. Pio Esposito headed in the second in the 34th minute, and Piotr Zielinski made it 3-0 in the 54th after carrying the ball to the edge of the area and shooting past goalkeeper Ernst.

Before the matches, Roma were without Gollini because of a back problem, with Vasquez selected in goal. Inter coach Cristian Chivu said his team would approach the Feyenoord fixture one match at a time and was confident it could produce a strong performance.
