Juventus managing director and general manager Giovanni Carnevali says rebuilding the club will take time, and cautioned against expecting the team to win immediately. “We will work to do it, but I don’t want to sell smoke: building takes time, not talk,” he said while speaking at the club’s shareholders’ meeting at the Allianz Stadium.
Carnevali said he had capable colleagues and that Juventus would sign players when it had the means to do so. He also said he would not criticise those who held the role before him, noting that mistakes can happen.
“I’ll give my all for this club,” Carnevali said, explaining that he chose Juventus because he sees it as a challenge he enjoys. “There is a lot of work to do.”
