The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has launched a tender for Ligue 1’s audiovisual rights for the 2027–2032 period, giving interested broadcasters until December 7 to submit their bids. The process is intended to help establish the value of the French Championship in the current market.
The rights are being offered as a single package. Under a law adopted on August 3, 2026, the LFP can market the league’s rights this way. Bidders can either broadcast the matches themselves or take over Ligue 1+ and become its exclusive distributor, retaining its existing subscriber base.
Ligue 1 has been shown on Ligue 1+ since August 15, 2025. The LFP’s commercial subsidiary created the service after DAZN withdrew early and the league failed to secure another broadcaster. BeIN Sports, which had shown one match per round in the 2025–26 season, acquired the rights to all nine matches per round for 2026–27.
The LFP hopes to attract bids from Canal+, BeIN Sports and RMC Sport, as well as potentially a US-based platform, according to the tender information provided.
