Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney and Che Adams have returned to Scotland’s squad for the final two Nations League fixtures, while James Penrice has been selected for the first time. Kristi Montgomery, who was added late to the previous squad, keeps his place despite remaining uncapped.

Scotland host North Macedonia before travelling to face Switzerland on 13 and 16 November. Head coach Sebastien Pocognoli has named 26 players, down from the 28-man group selected for the opening four matches, and has again included four goalkeepers.

Scotland sit third in Group B1, three points behind Slovenia, with Switzerland top on maximum points. A minimum of four points from the remaining games would give Scotland a chance of finishing second and reaching the promotion play-offs. One point would be enough to rule out the threat of relegation.

Penrice, 27, has impressed at Rangers after joining on loan from AEK Athens. McTominay has scored four goals in seven appearances since recovering from a minor heart procedure, while Adams has scored twice in five Serie A matches for Torino after a brief absence with an adductor problem.

Scott McKenna and Kenny McLean are unavailable through injury. Lennon Miller, Josh Doig, Colby Donovan and James Wilson have dropped out of the squad.

Andy Robertson will move past Sir Kenny Dalglish’s Scotland record of 102 caps if the captain features in both matches.
