Valentin Vacherot came back from a set down to defeat Jiri Lehecka in the Swiss Indoors final and claim the second ATP Tour title of his career. The victory also made him the first Monegasque player to win an ATP 500 tournament.
Vacherot received the full 500 ranking points and €483,335 in prize money. The result moved him up to world No. 24, following another strong finish to his ATP Tour campaign after his maiden title at the 2025 Shanghai Masters.
The Monegasque player defeated Mariano Navone, Rafael Jodar, Holger Rune, Taylor Fritz and Lehecka on his way to the title. His 2025 breakthrough in Shanghai included a semifinal victory over Novak Djokovic.
Lehecka collected 300 ranking points from his run to the final and now stands at No. 15 in the ATP rankings. Both players will next compete at the Paris Masters, which begins on November 2.
Lehecka faces Alex Michelsen in the first round, with Carlos Alcaraz awaiting the winner in the second round. Vacherot has been drawn against Djokovic, whom he leads 1-0 in their ATP Tour head-to-head record after their meeting in the 2025 Shanghai Masters semifinals.
The Paris Masters is the final Masters tournament of the 2026 ATP Tour season and will be played across a traditional one-week schedule.
