Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell remains in hospital after suffering a neck injury during Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. The team says early indications for his recovery are positive.

Campbell, 26, was injured in the fourth quarter while tackling tight end TJ Hockenson. After hitting his head, he received medical attention on the field and was taken away on a stretcher.

“Jack Campbell continues to rest and recover at a local hospital,” the Lions said in a statement. The team added that it would not provide further information at this time, out of respect for Campbell and his family.

The game resumed after the injury, with Detroit winning 19-15. Campbell was selected 18th overall by the Lions in 2023 and signed a contract extension in May that runs through the 2030 season.
